Programs
Our programs are designed to meet the needs of three distinct—yet closely connected—groups:
Vulnerable Youth (Ages 18–35)
This group includes young people facing hardship or risk due to early or forced marriages, exposure to violence, health threats, or epidemics. Our programs provide them with skills, opportunities, and support to rebuild stability and independence.
Orphaned Children
These are children without parents, representing about 11% of all Ugandan children. We work to identify and connect them with community or family-based support to meet their basic needs.
Vulnerable Children
Making up roughly 44% of Uganda’s child population, these children live in fragile households often lacking essentials such as healthcare, nutrition, safety, and education. We focus on strengthening these families and ensuring access to vital services.

Education Program
How We Work to Ensure Quality Education for Every Child and Young Person
- We collaborate with national and local governments to improve access to education and develop programs that strengthen literacy and foundational skills among children and youth.
- We partner with governments, donors, and local and international organizations to increase investment in national education systems.
- We scale up innovative, proven approaches to reach hard-to-access children and youth, supported by sustainable and well-structured financing.
- We build capacity through scholarships and the donation of learning materials, supported by both local and international funders.
- We conduct workshops for children and youth on topics such as career guidance, first aid, innovation, civic education, and sanitation.
- We promote volunteerism within communities to strengthen social cohesion and mutual support. Through this approach, partner schools gain access to infrastructure assistance and create more conducive learning environments.
