Who we are?
United Center for Health Alignment Network (UCHAN)
United Center for Health Alignment Network (UCHAN) is a non-profit organization operating much like a charity. Based in Uganda, East Africa, we take a holistic approach to improving the health and livelihoods of children and youth.
Founded in 2008 as a community-based organization, UCHAN now has 12 staff members and an office in Kyebando–Nansana, near Kampala. Our work focuses on three districts: Wakiso, Kampala, and Mukono.
We prioritize underprivileged groups—especially children and youth (with a focus on girls)—who are striving to overcome hardship and build better futures.
Our Mission
To effectively and efficiently enable communities to use their skills and resources for sustainable economic, social, welfare, and cultural development.
Our Vision
To see an equitably empowered humanity, capable of driving its own development.
Our Purpose
To empower disadvantaged communities—economically, socially, religiously, culturally, and legally—so they can transform their environments for better living and self-sustenance.
Our Values
Love for humanity • Service above self • Impartiality • Hard work • Transparency • Time management
